Freelancing isn't what it used to be. E-mail
Freelancing isn't what it used to be. It used to be limited to ubergeeks, but not anymore.

Sure ubergeeks are still in high demand, but so are people to write articles or product reviews.
People to do graphic and design work, propose link exchanges. Really just about anything that you
can conceive of doing with a computer.

So do you have what it takes to be a internet freelancer?

Let's see.
Computer   CHECK
Internet connection CHECK
Ability to point and click CHECK

Basically if you can use a computer, you can make money doing so. Since you are apparently reading this, you
automatically qualify.

So, what's next?

Sign up with a reputable website to help match your skills to potential customers. There are possibly hundreds
of these types of sites, but I would highly recommend going with a well established and reputable one.

The following companies meet that criteria and can give good results for freelancers.

These all work similarly. You can browse the available projects and bid on them. The customer chooses the bid
they think is best, but that doesn't mean it's the lowest bid. Your potential customer can use other criteria to help

them decide, like feedback on previous projects, or the qualifications you list in your profile.

I am often underbid on these sites, but still get a fair amount of freelance work from them by pointing out
my experience. If the customer is in North America, I point out their money would at least be staying on the
same continent. If the customer lives in a primarily English speaking country, I point out that I am a native
English speaker, which can help to avoid mis understanding that could potentially delay the completion of their
project.

So whether you are a C programmer with a bachelors degree in computer science, or a stay at home mom, there are
opportunities for you to earn money doing what you are doing now, using your computer.

To help get you started, you can look over recent freelance projects posted to these sites right here on Dew-Code.com
