i just did a fresh install of the new script. I followed all the directions and tried doing the htaccess dotaccess directions..

I am hosted on godaddy and I dont think they handle apache extensionless php forces.. has anyone written a mod_rewrite that works for the htaccess. like maybe I could just rename directory to directory php and then just use mod rewrite to get the links to work. has anyone tried this. I do not understandy rewrite syntax so I dont know what to write. I have searched the internet for help but I just dont understand.

ps has anyone gotten the script to run right on godaddy. if so please tell me how.

Good news, bad news...

I'll need to test and experiment to come up with a mod-rewrite rule for this situation.

I could not find a copy of the 2.01 non-SEF version.. but I did find a 2.1 non-SEF version which was never actually publicly released... It does have some compatibility issues, mostly with MySQL4, but it may suit your needs.

As time, finances and sanity allow, I'll try to come up with a mod rewrite rule that doesn't require substantial changes to the script.
