I got my site up and running here: http://lapantz4less.com/phplinks/directory/
but it doesn't do anything, ie: add a site, new, popular. I read through all the post and the FAQ's but doin't see where it tells you change any settings to make the site functional.
Please help.

Is that a Fantastico install ? These issues are fixed in the current version, 2.101


You can of course fix your current install by following the instructions in the FAQ, but you might prefer to remove that, download the latest version and install it. Not only to fix the bug you encountered, but add a few nifty features to boot.

well.. I'm glad it worked, but its not really an upgrade, it's a replacement. The database is slightly different. You'd need to ..

copy the mysql username/password from your current /include/config.php into the new one.
Using PHPMyadmin, delete the tables in the database
Delete the files/directories of the 2.01 version
Upload the 2.1 files
Use a browser to the view install_dir/docs/ directory and follow the directions to create the mysql tables.

After checking that everything works, password protect the admin directory and delete the /docs/ directory.
