I am using Hostgator for my web site and they tell me that they have disabled the in.php?ID=6 feature so all people get is a 503 error, is there any way round this problem?

Sorry, but that doesn't really make sense to me...
I'd suggest calling/emailing support back.. and pray for a different tech this time.

Possibly they upgraded Apache and/or tightened the security settings on the server... those make sense.. "disabling" doesn't

in.php is a file that takes one GET paramter... if they are saying they "disabled it" then... I'd really suggest a new host. Thats like me saying I disabled your lunch, when I actually ate it.

Did they edit in.php somehow ?

Does the rest of the script work ?

If browsing the actual script itself generates a 500 or 503 error, check the FAQ entry regarding the .htaccess file

What I do recall is that they said under the TOS you are not allowed to run topsites

By chance was this script installed from the copy of Fantastico that Hostmonster provides you?.. not that that helps really...

It just seems incredibly stupid of them to offer their customers this script, just to delibritly break it.

I am curious.. did they replace in.php with some other file? or it's disabled by server config?

Does your in.php look like this one?
