Hi Dewed,

I'm glad to see you've got your site back up. Now that you're back online, is there any chance you could add more categories to the forum?

Also, I see you're now using Joomla instead of Xoops. It looks like phpbb v3 integrates well with Joomla v1.5 so you might want to consider that before putting a lot of time into Joomla v1.

The last I looked at Joomla 1.5, about a month ago, I was a bit put off by the low number of available mods and themes for it. I initially installed it here, and started adding some mods, but most that reported to be 1.5 compatable required it be put in legacy mode, which of course broke other things.

I'm sure Joomla 1.5 is the right choice for many sites, just at the time, since I am fairly new to the Joomla way of doing things, it seemed a bit too new for me.

As for the forum, you are right. I'm testing what I have before putting a lot of work into it, but so far I am liking Fireboard. Unfortunately, recreating Dew-Code.com coincides with other work I need to get done. Food and shelter being my main priorities, I can only devote so much time to it, so my apologies for the slow progress.

I decided to go with Joomla v1.5 because I figured it is only a matter of time before v1.0 became obsolete and I didn't want to duplicate my efforts later on. As for the the lack of available extensions, I figured that as I figured out how to use the program, more and more would become available. Now that I've had to look for some extensions, I see that they are distinguishing between native and legacy v1.5 extensions.
