Got everything working, except:
Script installed at the root of site, when I visit with IE or FF, it's fine, when I visit with Google Chrome, it downloads a file, opening it shows the downloads php script?
Any ideas?

Odd, I've never heard of this. I have heard that occasionally Apache might make a mistake, and just server a php script instead of processing the PHP, but that isn't browser dependent, and is very rare, refreshing the page should serve it correctly.
Possibly emptying Chrome's cache, other than that.... nothing comes to mind.
