1. why not ? what happens when you try ?
2. customize cron_link_check.php it has 2 different email message in it, one to send the webmaster when your link is not found and one to send when after 4 checks, the entry is removed.
The .backup file is simply there in case you cause an error in your cron_link_check.php file, you can copy it back and try again.
3 The script will check the sites you have listed for a link back to your site, if a link back to your site can not be found, it sends them an email.
Without SSH access I can not test the script further, it will try to run at 12:30 am server time (what ever time zone your server is in) If it errors, you should get an email containing the error message.
4. The email they are sent after the 4th check says the site has been removed, but provides a link to your add site page so they can add it again.
If you are the only one adding entries.. using this script does not really make any sense. I thought I made it clear and you understood what it did before you paid for it.
Perhaps it is not sending emails.. I can not tell, but it doesn't sound like you really need this. Just say so and I'll remove it and refund your $20
