I have a question-suggestion.

Is English the only option? How about other languages? Greek for instance ...
How about other themes? DO we have to re-create those that already exist or we can download new ones?

Files for the version that is still bundled in Fantastico can be found here http://www.dew-code.com/archives/ Files with language names, like "French.zip" are language files.

8-themes-4-SEF.zip has some admittedly ugly themes (I'm a coder, not a designer, but I have gotten better since I created these)

alt-themes.zip Aren't really themes, but layout changes. Since the style sheets from themes are interchangeable, you can pick a layout you like, then copy the style sheet and any required graphics to your preferred layout theme directory. With a few exceptions, editing the style sheet is all you need to do to tailor a theme.


The current version, which is only available from this site, has it's various add-ons here, http://www.dew-code.com/component/option,com_jooget/Itemid,27/ but it also already includes most of the add-ons from the previous version.

I had really hoped that when this project was launched back in 2003 some other people would have gotten involved and contributed more, but for the most part, it's been a one man show. However, if you would care to create a Greek language file and share it with others, I'd gladly add it to the file archives.

Well I tried and tested some words by writing them in greek but those appeared in a very strange way and are no language at all.

So who do I make the greek writing appear normally and when Im done I can share the file with you

By the way the version in fantastico is different from the one on your site, right? Thats what I understand from your writing!

How do I update? Is it all manually or ...?

That should tell your browser to use a character set that supports Greek characters The latest version , 2.11 does not provide an automatic upgrade, and while it does include some nifty features, if you have the previous version customized, I can't suggest upgrading, but do keep it mind if you want to start another site..

No I have just created the categories and not started it yet, so I think I will go for the new version and download it from your site. But do you think I will have to make this change about the language in the new version too ?
I will delete the new directory in my public html and empty the SQL databases (or should I create new databases?)

Hi again.

I have now a fresh download. Have done it all right. Upgraded databases, configured the site, connected it to the databases, deleted the docs file ... and now get this message on the main page of the admin page :
