I installed the latest version of Dew Links and it seems to have included all the Plugins as when I tried to upload the Bookmarks Plugin I was warned it already existed.

I entered all the data for a User in the Config file and tried to upload the bookmarks file.

Yes the site is operational, yes I have more than the minimum requirements.

I get told that the file has uploaded but it shows no Categories or files.

They do not appear on the site.

The file was uploaded from a Portable Firefox on my C drive.

Does the script rely on Firefox installation in any way as the folder and file structure is different between a Portable App and an installed application?

Or am I missing something simple like folder permissions here as I can find no other report of a problem with this extension with a Forum Search?

It should work with the standard bookmarks.html file used by most browsers. I know under Book marks there is an export function to create the file in my desktop version, but to be honest, I haven't tested it with the latest version of Firefox, portable or desktop.

If your app has an export function, try that. If still no go, perhaps submit a sample of the html that makes up your bookmarks.html file, and I'll see if I can spot why it's not parsing.

Actually I tried to import an exported file initially.
I then followed your guide on the download page thinking the script might be relying on something else apart from the html file within the Firefox installation.
The bookmarks files I use import and export between KMeleon, Sea Monkey, Opera, Safari, Flock. IE, Galeon and Epiphany OK so I don't think it is the file.

I post a Sample though, (from FireFox 2.0.0.2 - gave up using the 3.0 to 3.5, total rubbish), they export and import between the version though.

I have not included the long icon sections of the file. They do go on a bit. I will attach the file I wished to upload though.(Cannot upload html file sorry).

OK this is what I have now tried as I thought the Firefox file a bit messy with the icon entries.
I cleaned out my opera bookmarks, imported the file, exported it out again and it cleaned up the messy entries.
Tried to import that into Dew Links, again same result.
I then cleaned out IE 6 Favourites, imported the clean file from Opera Export and Exported it, (htm):

Changed the extension to html:
Tried to import that into Dew Links, again same result.

My eyes aren't as good as yours apparently. Perhaps you could just copy paste the resulting text instead of attaching an image of text too small for me to read? Either way, I get the jist, it's not working.

I'll need to set up an install, and experiemnt with it to find out why, but I swear, my tests, over a year ago now, worked...

I did look through the Source file prior to posting.
Problem is it all looks OK.

That is why I asked if there might be a permissions issue that I cannot get my head round.

It would also be useful to know if someone else has had a problem or no problems at all as the post has over 60 viewings so far and someone viewing may be viewing for a reason similar to mine.
