404 error 4 Years ago Karma: 0
I've just installed the program using Fantastico. When I access my index page, I get a 404 error. I've toggled through each of the following options in my .htaccess file, but with no luck:

<Files directory>
ForceType application/x-httpd-php
#SetHandler application/x-httpd-php
#ForceType x-httpd-php
</Files>

My host runs Apache 1.3.41 (Unix).

Any suggestions?

I might add that the admin page works fine.

I have the same problem. My phplinks which has worked for years, stopped in November. I think my server was upgraded but it just won't work (I know that they installed php 5, so I have defaulted to 4) I have tried all the options on the .htaccess and verified that .htaccess is turned on. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try each of the .htaccess directives with a 5 at the end, starting with:

SetHandler application/x-httpd-php5

SetHandler application/x-httpd-php5 worked straight off! Thanks!
